Yes, she is taller...
HaPPy BiRthDaY to our beautiful, tall, and energetic Madelyn! Today Madelyn is seven years old. We often get a reaction from people, "Wait, SHE is the younger one? But she's TALLER?" I guess I grew up with sisters in this "situation" and have known other people that have as well, so it doesn't strike me as so odd.
For breastkfast Madelyn asked for "breakfast sandwiches" (eggs, bacon, cheese on a croissant) and fruit.
Lunch was "bagel bites" (mini pizza bagels) and carrots and chips.
Dinner was salmon, mashed potatoes and salad.
And for dessert she requested rootbeer floats.
For her birthday, Madelyn received (how can these two girls enjoy playing together unless they have the same things?...or some nonsensical logic like that...) a hula hoop, a handball, a nightgown and some gum. The girls also received $$ from grandpa and grandma so today they spent half of it and they are anxiously awaiting their next trip to pick something else. Madelyn picked a stuffed pony with lots of accessories and Adah picked a "Tangled" Color Wonder set with markers and paints. They have been sharing nicely and enjoying their new gifts...but rumor has it on our return trip to the store they each (currently) plan to buy what the other one already purchased.
Madelyn has always been a surprise to us. We were not expecting to be expecting with her, I was just sure she was a boy during my pregnancy, she weighed in at a dainty 9 pounds, was wearing the same size clothes as Adah within the first year of her life, spoke amazingly well at 18 months, and the list goes on.
Madelyn is a very bright young lady. She seems to miss nothing. She is usually found hiding somewhere reading a book. She is very responsible and helps take good care of our family. We are grateful she is ours and our family would be missing a lot if we didn't have her!
