Johnson Relocation Program

The Johnson family has once again relocated. Greeley has been our longest stop yet - nearly three years in one place! Imagine that! But now, Erik has found a job that he is very excited about, in a pretty different field. Maybe I will try to talk him into doing a blog about it.

We left Greeley a couple of weeks ago, had a pit stop in Provo at my brother Dehn's house. Here is a picture of Seth with Dehn's daughter Annabelle - they were born just 5 days apart! (oh, and we did NOT pose their holding hands, they just did that, so sweet)

Then we drove on to Reno and stayed with my parents while we looked for a house to rent in Dayton. We found one pretty quick, and it is an amazing deal, we feel really blessed. But it did take some time for all the details to work out, so while we were waiting, we decided to head down to Las Vegas for a weekend at my brother Ken's house for the blessing of their 6th child, Rebecca. The kids also had a great time with their cousins.

Then we returned to Reno, waiting to move into our house. Finally on Thursday it was official...my parent's neighbors all celebrated as we pulled our moving truck out of their cul-de-sac, I am sure. Here is a picture of the front of the house - it is in a neighborhood with a pretty golf course and our street is a cul-de-sac off of a cul-de-sac, so not a lot of traffic.

Erik had his third day of work today and was already out testing a vehicle and is excited about it. Adah had her third day of kindergarten here and really likes it. I forgot to take a picture of her on her first day of kindergarten HERE, so here she is shortly before bedtime (not looking quite as well kept as she did before leaving for school, I promise).

After having Erik around so much between Seth being born and the move, Rhys REALLY missed his daddy on Erik's first day of work, he being gone ALL DAY, and when Erik walked in the door Rhys hugged him for literally 3 minutes straight. Then for the rest of the night, wherever Erik was (like laying on the floor talking on the phone) Rhys was (like laying on Erik while Erik's laying on the floor...)

Here are just a couple of other random pictures of our kids either at my parents or in our house...

Oh, and this one is a favorite, how cute is a little child kneeling and folding their arms? Children are so precious.

This last picture is the garden the previous tenants had. This is the "before" picture. I forgot to take an "after" picture, but my mom and I weeded it today...quite a job! But we found what was planted in there and there were a TON of tomatoes, but also carrots, onions, a variety of hot peppers, cucumbers and pumpkins. I am excited to see what we can do for next season!

So there's your update if you've been wondering. So far, so good in Dayton, NV.
