Christmas In A Nutshell...

The Friday before Christmas Adah was to have her class Christmas party. We awoke to a phone call from the school at 6am. There had been a crazy wind storm during the night, knocking out the power, and school was cancelled. This would normally be great, fun news...except that I had over 30 gingerbread men Adah's teacher had asked me to make for the class to decorate during their party. Awesome. So we whipped up some frosting, scrounged up some candies and delivered little "kits" to the couple of kids in her class that we know where they live. Then we had a little fun of our own.



First real snowfall of the season...



Sick boys...it was a VERY rough couple of days, but Adah happened to catch the sweetest moment in it all.

Christmas Eve, acting out the nativity...Adah wanted to be Mary, Madelyn wanted to be a donkey, Rhys was Joseph, Seth was baby Jesus, Grandma was a sheep, Dad was narrator and Mom was photographer...and Grandpa was sick, but watching. We told Rhys to "take Madelyn the donkey over to baby Seth/Jesus" and he did...he ran over, grabbed onto Madleyn's head and literally PULLED her the whole way there!
